Well heck! I poke by dA, see a few new favs on Love Is... and figured some journal had linked to it. Come back a week later and realize, no, its not two or three new favs, but 600! My goodness!

Thank you very much to ~awlaux for the suggestion and ^Jules1983 for the feature! The piece is rather old, but still holds true. I guess the three years its been kicking around dA has been a trial period for me to iron out the kinks so there was less to argue about. I really appreciate your supportive comments and intelligent discussions.

To watchers new and old, my name is Liz. Long ago, I started out digitally coloring Sailor Moon coloring book pages back in fifth grade and it all went downhill from there, with countless horrendously crappy fantasy art, that you can still find if you have high Internet Detective skills. Around 2004 I transferred over here with more delightfully crappy Everquest II portraits and suchlike. 2005 brought about the discovery of the deliciousness that is Illustrator and we have been lovers every since. The photorealistic vector look was pretty trendy then around dA and I churned out a whole number of celebrity portraits, some of which I'm still really fond of. Late 2006 is around the time where I started working towards applying to art schools, taking classes at The Art Institute of Chicago and later SCAD. That means lots of tradition stuff and books! 2007 I graduated highschool and went of to the Rhode Island School of Design, where I reside now, joy of joys!

I am currently a sophomore in Printmaking and I love it dearly. I still use Illustrator for planning everything I do, but I've kind of lost interest in the vexel sort of look. I'm a recovering Everquest II addict, but I still manage to play lots of console games. I've fangirled patheticly over Tomb Raider for the last 11 years, and have recently been just as lame over Mignola's Hellboy comics and Fennofolk design.

So, dear watchers, it's either been a long time or we've never met. Who are yooou?

Over all comment is that your gallery is great. It was a pure pleasure to go through it and even got some favorite on the way. Also weary neat work in Illustrator i am both awed and a bit jealous but mostly awed.

And yeah, you got a wonderful feeling for shapes and a varying style.

Well enough with the praising for now. I will keep my eyes on you to see where this train is heading. I am looking forward to be a part of this journey.
